Who is responsible
Sovereign Noir LLC operates Cloudy Reads and is the controller of personal data collected through this website. Contact us at support@sovereign-noir.com or write to 30 N Gould St Ste 100, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
What we collect
When you buy a book we receive the email address you enter at Stripe Checkout, the items you paid for, the amount, the currency, and Stripe identifiers for the session and payment. Stripe processes your payment details. We do not see or store full card numbers.
When you use the contact form we store your name, email, topic, and message. When you ask us to find a download we use the email address you provide to look up matching orders.
Our servers and host receive standard technical data such as IP address, user agent, and request time. We use that to operate the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose errors. We do not run advertising pixels or analytics products on this site today.
Why we use it
We use this information to take payment, deliver files, send receipts and download instructions, answer support requests, keep records of orders, and protect the shop against fraud and abuse. Those purposes are the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a secure store, and legal record-keeping.
Who we share it with
Stripe processes payments. If transactional email is configured, Resend sends receipts and download messages. Our hosting provider stores the application and, when configured, a database of orders. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we need them for delivery, accounting, and legal obligations. Contact messages are kept long enough to handle the request. Download tokens expire after seven days. You can ask us to delete information that we are not required to keep.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Email support@sovereign-noir.com. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or another region with similar rights, you may also lodge a complaint with your local authority.
Children
The shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under 16 where that is the local standard.
Changes
We will update the date at the top of this page when the policy changes. The current date is October 19, 2026.
